We are dedicated to education and promotion of the edible mushrooms as delicious, immune system-stimulating, high-protein gourmet food that can be sustainably grown in natural, renewable media. The wood digesters like shiitake and oysters can be profitably grown in fresh green logs. They help to make the forest cost-effective. Sustainable harvesting practices help preserve the health of the trees, and thereby the ecology of all our creature relations who live in the forest.
The most potent immune enhancers come from fungi, and are commonly used as adjuncts to ordinary treatment for disease in Asia. Mushrooms grown by individuals are free of pesticides and fertilizers, the highest quality food anywhere. They are an important part of the locally-grown, chemical-free food of the future.
