Phoenix Oyster – sawdust spawn
Pleurotus pulmonarius is a warm-weather fruiter, unique for growing well in softwoods like pine, fir, and spruce logs, as well as in the soft hardwoods like poplar. cottonwood, sweetgum, willow, etc. The Phoenix oyster is heat-loving, and grows well in India and Hawaii.
Sawdust oyster spawn is suitable for cultivation in logs or in stacked larger diameter log wafers, indoors or out.

Tree Oyster – grain spawn
Oysters (Pleurotus ostreatus) can be grown in pasteurized hardwood sawdust or straw, in 6′ tall column bags. A 5-lb. bag of grain spawn will inoculate from 200 to 400 lbs. of dry substrate. Fruits at 60-70º F. 5 lb.
